I photographed Kim and Dann’s wedding a few weeks ago…it was a beautiful ceremony and reception at Southern Exposure Herb Farm in Battle Creek, Michigan. If you haven’t been to Southern Exposure, it’s definitely worth checking out. It was a maze of awesome gardens–and a fun place to shoot! Congrats to Kim and Dann!

Congrats to Michelle and Mike! My wife and I went to high school with Michelle back in Illinois, so it was a blast to be a part of her big day–my wife was a bridesmaid and I was the photographer. The wedding was held at the beautiful home of Michelle’s parents and, despite the rain, they decided to keep the ceremony outside! I had to find some plastic bags for my cameras, but it was great and I think the day was more special for it! Here’s a little slideshow and you can see more pictures below…
By the way…..brides-to-be, take notes… Michelle gave all of her bridesmaids umbrellas at the rehearsal dinner which allowed for beautiful outdoor portraits…
Congrats to Willie and Sakura! I photographed their wedding a couple weeks ago in Muskegon, and it was a beautiful day! Their wedding and reception were held at the amazing Frauenthal Theater, and a 1937 Dodge took the newlyweds to the beach for a few pictures. The day was a ton of fun and I wish them the best! I photographed my first wedding of the season last Saturday. Kim and Rob had a beautiful ceremony in the Butterfly Garden at the Kalamazoo Nature Center, and we lucked out with the weather…..the storms cleared for just long enough! Congrats to Kim and Rob!

Oddly enough, I had two couples last week that wanted to shoot their engagement portraits at the same random park south of Kalamazoo. Of course, after I saw it, I understood why–it’s a beautiful little park with great light and lots to work with.
