Pink Night at Olivet College (Olivet Women’s Basketball vs Adrian)

I photographed the WBCA Pink Zone night (breast cancer awareness) at Olivet College as the women’s basketball team took on Adrian last week. It was a close game to the end, but Adrian prevailed 62-60.
College Basketball – Kalamazoo College vs Alma (men)

Kalamazoo College had an exciting win over Alma on Saturday, 56-53.

The Kalamazoo College women’s basketball team took on Calvin College over the weekend, with Calvin winning the game 74-47.

I photographed more basketball at Kalamazoo College last night. The men’s team had an exciting 63-57 victory over Olivet College.

College Basketball – Kalamazoo College vs. Albion (women)

I was back at Kalamazoo College yesterday to photograph the women’s basketball team against Albion College. Albion won the game 61-42, but on a brighter note, senior forward Nyemade Cooper (below) was recognized for scoring her 1,000th point as a Hornet.

More college basketball action at Kalamazoo College on Wednesday. The guys put up a fight, but lost to Calvin College 80-67.

College Basketball – Olivet College vs Trine (men)

The Olivet men’s basketball team had better luck than the women on Saturday, winning their game against Trine 85-80.
College Basketball – Olivet vs. St. Mary’s (women)

I had the chance to photograph the Olivet College women’s basketball team as they took on St. Mary’s over the weekend. It was an exciting game at the end, with Olivet needing a 3-pointer in the last seconds to tie, but they didn’t get it. St. Mary’s won the game 61-58.
College Basketball – Kalamazoo College vs Adrian (women)

I shot Kalamazoo College taking on Adrian College last night. The Hornets came back in the second half to tie the game and force overtime, but their luck ended there as Adrian won 70-60.
College Basketball – Kalamazoo College vs Olivet (Women)

I photographed the Kalamazoo College women’s basketball team on Friday night. (The game had been postponed during the blizzard.) The Hornets put up a fight against Olivet, but lost in the end, 67-61.

I photographed the Kalamazoo College mens basketball team taking on Elmhurst College on Saturday. The Hornets led for most the game but then lost 57-60 in the final minutes.
Men's Soccer at Kalamazoo College

The Kalamazoo College men’s soccer team took on Hope College yesterday and I was there to photograph it. Although Kalamazoo played a furious second half, they couldn’t get a goal and Hope left town with a 1-0 victory. More photos here.
What a game!

I was in Columbus this past weekend to photograph USC vs. Ohio State, and wow, was that intense! The stadium was packed — 106,000 screaming fans — and it was the loudest I’ve ever heard; my ears were still ringing hours later. Ohio State led the whole game until the last minute when USC’s Stafon [...]

Last night I photographed the Kalamazoo College volleyball team in their match against Manchester College. Kalamazoo won 3-1.

I love football season. I had the opportunity to photograph Western Michigan University vs. Michigan in the Big House last weekend. Western was a bit outclassed, but there was some great side-light as the sun went down…..nothing like a fall afternoon with 109,000 screaming fans!
Friday Night Lights

Megan and I were recently in Illinois to finish up some wedding plans and we made it out to a football game at our old high school. It had been 12 years since I’d been back in Metamora on a Friday night in the fall—not much has changed.
